Micromax had recently announced their plans to launch more smartphones with 4G LTE connectivity. It had also announced that 45% of the total smartphone sold by March 2016 will be supporting 4G LTE. A couple of weeks back, the company had also launched entry-level smartphone Canvas Xpress 4G in India priced at Rs. 6,599. The latest device from Micromax to launch with 4G LTE is the Canvas Pace 4G with the model number Q416.
The device was listed on the company’s website without mentioning the price. It comes with a 5-inch FWVGA IPS display and is powered by Snapdragon 210 quad-core processor. There is 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage that can be expandable up to 32GB via MicroSD card slot. We can expect the available storage to be much lower since it comes with pre-loaded bloatware apps like Amazon, Snapdeal, Saavn, Quikr, Amazon Kindle and more.
It has a 5MP rear camera with autofocus and LED flash, and a 2MP front-facing camera on the front. The device has a removable battery of 2,500mAh capacity that can deliver up to 9 hours of talk time and lasts up to 327 hours on standby. It runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop with almost stock-like UI. Connectivity on this device includes 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS/A-GPS, and MicroUSB 2.0 port.
The Canvas Pace 4G is priced at Rs. 6,821 and can be purchased from a 3rd party online retailer in Black color. Though there is no official information from the company about the launch of this device, it is over priced when compared to the recently launched Canvas Xpress 4G. Even at a slightly lower price, the Canvas Xpress 4G comes with much better specifications and build quality than the Canvas Pace 4G.
It is equipped with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage that is double than what the company is offering with Canvas Pace. Since the device is already available in offline, we can expect the device to launch officially in the next few days. Stay tuned for more updates!
