Alongside the mid-range Meizu 16X smartphone, the company also launched a new budget smartphone called Meizu V8. While the Meizu 16X is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 SoC, the Meizu V8 comes packed with a MediaTek Helio P22 SoC. The Meziu V8 comes in 3GB and 4GB RAM variants and is priced at 799 Yuan and 1098 Yuan respectively. While the 3GB RAM variant comes with polycarbonate body, the 4GB RAM variant sports metal body.
It sports a 5.7-inch In-cell display with HD+ (1440 x 720 pixels) resolution and 18:9 aspect ratio. There is also a 2.5D curved glass laid on the top. Under the hood, the Meizu V8 comes powered by MediaTek Helio P22 octa-core processor clocked at 2.0GHz. While the 3GB RAM variant comes with 32GB of internal storage, the 4GB RAM variant will be offering 64GB of internal storage. The user can further expand the storage using the MicroSD card slot.
In terms of optics, the device sports a 12MP + 5MP dual cameras on the rear with f/2.2 aperture and a single 5MP camera on the front for selfies. It is backed by a 3,100mAh battery and support mPower fast charging technology. On the rear, the Meizu V8 also sports a circular fingerprint sensor.
