Meizu is now ready to make a come back to the Indian market with its upcoming smartphones. The Chinese smartphone maker has scheduled an event in New Delhi on 5th of December to launch its new devices dubbed as Meizu M16th and Meizu M6T. Meizu launched its last device in the country in the month of May last year and after one and a half year, it is bringing one flagship device along with a budget-friendly device in India.
The Meizu M16th will be a high-end flagship smartphone which will be coming with Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset along with in-display fingerprint sensor. The device was initially launched in China with the name Meizu 16 along with Meizu 16 Plus. The device comes with a 6-inch full HD+ (1080 x 2160) pixels Super AMOLED display with an aspect ratio of 18:9. The handset will be available in either 6GB or 8GB of RAM options along with 64GB and 128GB of onboard storage.
The device will come with a 3010mAh battery with the support for mcharge fast charging technology. Furthermore, the handset will sport 12MP main camera sensor along with a 20MP telephoto lens. For selfie, we can find a 20MP camera with an AI-powered face unlocking system to enhance the security levels. It will come out of the box with Android 8.0 Oreo with Flyme OS on top. The device was launched in Chine for CNY 2,698 (approx Rs. 27,000) for the 6GB RAM variant.
Coming to the Meizu M6T smartphone, it will come with 5.7-inch HD+ plus display with a MediaTek MT6750 chipset which will be coupled with 4GB of RAM. There is a 13MP main camera Sony QMX278 RGB sensor along with a secondary 2MP camera. There is an 8MP camera for selfies with 3,300 mAh battery to power the device. The device was launched for a starting price of CNY 799 (approx Rs. 8,000).
There is news that the company is also planning to launch a third device along with these two handsets, but nothing about it is known for now. We need to wait for few more days to get the Indian pricing of the handsets and it will be interesting to see how the smartphone will be received in the market.
