Meizu, the Chinese smartphone maker, has earlier confirmed the launch of the upcoming smartphone Meizu Pro 6 in the second half of 2016. It will be the successor for the Meizu Pro 5 that was launched in September 2015. The Pro 6 will be the second device in the all new Pro series from Meizu. Yang Yan, VP of Meizu has confirmed the device to sport 3D Touch display. The image posted by him also confirms the device to support iPhone 6S like Quick Settings.

The Gionee S8 that was launched at the Mobile World Congress also came with the same 3D Touch display along with Quick Settings. There are few leaks which suggest Pro 6 to feature dual edge display, same as the Galaxy S7 Edge & Vivo XPlay 5. While it is the third device from Samsung to come with an Edge display, it offers better productivity than the Vivo Xplay 5. Now the latest reports from China also claims the Meizu Pro 6 to include 6GB of RAM. The device will be launched in two variants with 4GB/6GB of RAM, same as Vivo XPlay 5.

While there are rumors about many other smartphones to offers 6GB of RAM, the Vivo XPlay 5 is the world’s first smartphone to launch with 6GB. Now Meizu seems to offers the same 6GB of RAM with their upcoming device. Talking about the other specifications, the device will be powered by the Samsungs’ Exynos 8890 octa-core processor. It is the same processor that was used in some variants of Galaxy S7 & S7 Edge. Recently the company has launched the Flyme 5.0 OS and by the time of Pro 6 launch, we expect the company to come with much advanced Flyme 6.0 OS.

The company is also expected to launch the successor for Meizu Metal called as Meizu Metal 2. There are few leaks suggesting the device to be powered by Helio X20 deca-core processor. One variant of the LeEco Le 2 Pro is also rumored to be powered by the same Helio X20 processor. Stay tuned for more updates!
