Meizu has confirmed to launch the new budget smartphone called Meizu M6 Note on August 23rd in China. There are several leaks and rumors about this device in the last couple of weeks. The benchmark listings revealed the device to come powered by Snapdragon 625 octa-core processor. There are also few other leaks of the Meizu M6 Note with Helio P25 processor. Last year’s Meizu M5 Note came with MediaTek Helio P10 octa-core. If the rumors are to believed, the M6 Note will become the first Qualcomm Snapdragon powered Meizu smartphone.
Now, the new image posted on Weibo unofficially confirmed the M6 Note to come in three different variants. One variant of the M6 Note will be powered by MediaTek Helio P25 octa-core processor and comes coupled with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of onboard storage. The Helio P25 processor comes with four Cortex-A53 cores clocked at 2.6GHz and another four Cortex-A53 cores clocked at 1.6GHz. It comes coupled with Mali-T880 MP2 GPU to look after the graphical performance. On the other hand, the Snapdragon 625 powered by M6 Note sports 3GB and 4GB of RAM with 32GB and 64GB of internal storage respectively.
The Snapdragon 625 SoC is renowned as one of the most power-efficient mobile chipset. Talking about the other specifications, the Meizu M6 Note might come with a 5.5-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) display. It will be running on the latest Android 7.1.1 Nougat based Flyme OS out-of-the-box. On the rear, the M6 Note sports 13MP dual cameras with LED flash. It will be backed by a 4,000mAh non-removable battery that also supports mCharge fast charging technology. The device sports a unibody metal design with rear facing fingerprint sensor.
There are also few rumors suggesting Meizu to launch Snapdragon 835 powered Meizu Pro 7 and Pro 7 Plus smartphones. Both the Meizu Pro 7 and Pro 7 Plus smartphones come with a secondary AMOLED display placed on the rear. While the Pro 7 sports a 5.2-inch Super AMOLED display with Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) resolution, the Pro 7 Plus comes with 5.7-inch Quad HD (2560 x 1440 pixels) Super AMOLED display.
