Meizu M3 Note with 1080p Display Confirmed to Launch on April 6

Update – Last week we had reported about the possible launch of Meizu M3 Note in the next few weeks. Today the company has confirmed the official launch event on April 6th in Beijing, China. The company has sent out the invites along with a card that resembles the device shape (featured image). From the image, we can find the design of the M3 Note to be same as the earlier launched M2 Note.

We can see the physical home button at the bottom which the company calls it as mBack button comes with several functions. While last year, the company launched the M2 Note with polycarbonate body while the later it also unveiled a Meizu M2 Metal, which is metal build M2 Note. But in 2016, we have seen metal build entry-level devices like Redmi 3 & Lemon 3 (a.k.a Vibe K5 Plus) and we expect the M3 Note also to come with a metal build body. Stay tuned for more information.

Earlier: Mar 18, 2016 – Chinese smartphone manufacturer Meizu has been in the news for the last few weeks starting with the rumors of the upcoming flagship Meizu Pro 6. While later the company officials have confirmed the Meizu Pro 6 and also said that the device will feature a 3D Touch display. Yesterday even we got the first look at the device which is the same device that was earlier leaked as iPhone 7. While Pro 6 will be launched in the second half of 2016, there are rumors about the launch of a new device in the next few weeks.

Based on the leaks, we can confirm the upcoming device as Meizu M3 Note (Blue Charm Note 3) which will be the successor for Meizu M2 Note that was launched in India in August 2015. While there are no actual specifications of the device, we can guess few of them from the image posted below. It might come with a 5.5-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) resolution display same as the M2 Note. Under the hood, the M3 Note will be powered by Helio P10 octa-core processor since Meizu has even opted for Helio X25 SoC for Pro 6 than Exynos processor.

While the M2 Note came with 2GB of RAM, the M3 Note can be expected with 3GB of RAM. There will be 32GB of internal storage along with a MicroSD slot for expansion. Talking about the battery, the device might include the same 3,100mAh as on M2 Note or else there will be a bigger 3,500mAh battery. The mBack on the front is expected to come integrated with the fingerprint sensor, same as on the high-end Meizu smartphones.

The device will be competing against the Xiaomi Mi 4S that was launched in China alongside the flagship Xiaomi Mi 5. While these specifications details aren’t accurate, we can expect more details to be known soon. Stay tuned for more updates!
