Last month, Xiaomi unveiled the Xiaomi Mi MIX smartphone along with the Mi Note 2 which was a surprise since it is not expected any by anyone. It also came as a surprise since the smartphone by itself comes with a unique design. If you haven’t seen one yet, then you are definitely missing out on it. The Mi MIX comes with an insane 91.3 % screen-to-body ratio. This is the highest that we have ever achieved with a smartphone, and it truly is amazing. Using it is an absolute feast for your eyes since you have that much more content on display now.
But yes, although it is truly amazing, we are not quite there yet. Xiaomi Mi MIX is a great start to bezel-less display but what we want is complete bezel-less i.e. the one with maybe a 99.99-percent screen-to-body ratio? That seems so impossible right? But do keep in mind that even achieving over 90% screen-tp-body ratio was once considered to be impossible. Hence let’s not make any assumptions here. But on the other hand, what if we tell you that you may get something very close to that very soon?
Yes, according to the source here, a new smartphone from Meizu which is expected to be unveiled on 24th of December could be a direct competition to the newly launched Xiaomi Mi MIX. The renders of the same have been spotted online, and it looks absolutely insane. On the front, there is nothing but a display. No earpiece, no sensors, no front facing camera, nothing. Just a beautiful display sits on the front, and it looks gorgeous on the renders here. And all we can hope at this point is to see it in reality.
If at all this becomes a reality, there’s no doubt that it will give a tough competition to the Xiaomi’s Mi MIX. And with that launch date mention here, things get a little interesting. This would be a perfect gift for the Christmas and something that everyone would want. And as far as the specs of this device are concerned, we don’t really have much info whatsoever. The only thing which we can surely talk about is that it will definitely have higher screen-to-body ratio than the Mi MIX. There is no chin here as found on the Mi MIX. We can also expect a fingerprint scanner embedded in the display here which could be possibly the Qualcomm’s ultrasonic scanner.
We already saw that type of scanner with the Mi 5s smartphone and hence we can expect that here as well. According to Meizu, something unexpected is coming and now we just have to wait till December 24th to find out more on that. Well, if you are interested to know about it as well, then be sure to stay tuned for more info on this as we will update once we have some more details on the same.
