Meizu Blue Metal Charm with Aluminum Body and Helio X10 SoC Launched at $173

After creating a lot of hype around it new Metal build smartphone, Meizu had officially unveiled its all-new ‘Blue Metal Charm‘ smartphone. The design of the device almost resembles the recently launched Meizu Pro 5. For launching all metal build smartphone at low cost, the company teamed with the suppliers to develop a customized Alumium Crystal metal that is very light in weight and feels strong in strength.
The company also announced that they have sold a total of 13 Million Smartphones in Blue Charm series from the last December. The focus from the brand is now on Metal smartphones which have been a great success with the last flagship being the MX5. The Meizu Blue Charm Metal comes in 5 different color options & has a Full HD i.e.; 1080P display spread on 5.5” panel. It is also the most affordable smartphone to come with Aluminum build body.
The device comes powered with the Helio X10 processor along with 2GB LPDDR3 RAM along with the Flyme 5 UI, which runs over Android 5.1 Lollipop. When the device was run through the Antutu Benchmark, the score crossed 50000 which itself says that the device can offer a good performance though we are yet to test the same.
The Blue Metal Charm has distinctly a name with the word blue but is going to be available in 5 different color options. Talking about the battery the device comes with a 3140 mAh capacity battery which should easily take you through the day. It also supports a MicroSD Card option along with a Nano SIM Card. In the camera department, the device comes with one of the fastest focus which is at 0.2 seconds along with the camera application which fires up in 0.38 seconds only.
With all these features, the device is priced at 1099 Yuan ($173) for 16GB variant and 1299 Yuan ($205) for 32GB Variant. The company also announced the updated Flyme 5.1 OS with image recognition technology. It also includes company’s own apps like Flyme Map, Flyme Reading app and many more. According to the company, the new Flyme OS is more optimized than the MIUI.
