Earlier this year, Meizu launched the Meizu 15 and Meizu 15 Plus high-end smartphones with 16:9 displays. Even before the Meizu 15 launch, the company official has confirmed to launch the Meizu 16 smartphones very soon. While the company is expected to launch the Meizu 16 and 16 Plus smartphones in August, the complete specifications of both the devices are now online. Both the devices will be coming 18:9 displays and in-display fingerprint sensors.
Before continuing any further, take these details with a pinch of salt. While the Meizu 16 comes with a 5.6-inch display, the Plus variant will be offering a slightly larger 6.1-inch display. Under the hood, the device will come powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 Mobile Platform. The device will be offering up to 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage. They are mentioned to run on the Flyme 7.5 OS with OneMind 2.5 AI system.
Talking about the cameras, the Meizu 16 comes with a 20MP + 12MP dual rear cameras and a single 20MP front cameras. On the other hand, the Meizu 16 Plus will be offering 20MP + 12MP + 12MP triple rear cameras and a 20MP front camera. The Huawei P20 Pro launched earlier this year also came with triple rear cameras. The device will also offer 4-axis OIS for more stabilized footage. With the Meizu 16 Plus, the company might also debut the mEngine 2.0 for haptic feedback.
The Meizu 16 comes packed with a 3,080mAh battery and offers 8V/3A (24W) fast charging support. While this looks unreal, the Meizu 16 Plus is mentioned to offer 8V/4A (32W) fast charging support. The device is mentioned to come with metal frame and curved glass back body. With these devices, Meizu will also introduce in its own mobile payment system called mPay. It will be coming USB Type-C port for both charging the device and connecting wired earphones.
Even the pricing of both the devices is mentioned in the leaked image. The Meizu 16 will be coming in 64GB and 128GB storage variants and is priced at 2999 Yuan and 3299 Yuan respectively. Coming to the Meizu 16 Plus, it will be available in 128GB and 256GB storage options and costs 3699 Yuan and 3999 Yuan respectively.
