Mafe Mobiles launched a new low-cost smartphone called Mafe Shine M810 in India. The device is priced at Rs. 4,599 and competes with the several other smartphones from the local and Chinese brands. Earlier today, Swipe launched the Elite VR smartphone with entry-level specifications and is priced very aggressively at Rs. 4,499. Unlike many other brands, the Mafe Shine M810 will be sold via offline and online stores. It sports a polycarbonate shell and comes in Gold and Black color options.

The M810 comes with a 5-inch display and offers FWVGA (854 x 480 pixels) resolution. It is powered by a Spreadtrum quad-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz. The device includes 1GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. There is a dedicated MicroSD card slot for expanding the storage up to 64GB. It runs on the older Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS, and we don’t expect the manufacturer to release the latest Android 7.0 Nougat update. The power button and volume rocker are placed on the right edge of the device.

In the camera department, the M810 sports a 5MP camera on the rear and a 2MP camera on the front for selfies. Both the front and rear cameras are accompanied with LED flash. It is backed by a 2,800mAh Li-ion battery that is rated to give up to 8 hours of talk time and lasts up to 200 hours on standby. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.1, GPS, FM radio, 3.5mm audio jack, and a MicroUSB 2.0 port. The smartphone also supports dual SIM dual standby and offers 4G VoLTE for using with the Jio 4G SIM.

Earlier to the Shine M810, the company also launched Shine M820 smartphone in India for Rs. 6,499. It came with a 5-inch HD display and is powered by MediaTek quad-core processor. There is 2GB of RAM and 16GB of expandable storage on this device. While the M810 runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow, the M820 came with Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box. It also packs an 8MP rear camera, 5MP front camera, and a 2,500mAh battery. The M820 also supports 21 Indian regional languages on the system level.
