Earlier this week, Google released the Android Q Beta 3 at the I/O 2019. Several OEMs also joined the developer preview to offers the latest Android beta update for their smartphones. Almost the 12 different smartphone brands are now part of the Android 10 Q developer preview program. The Mate 20 Pro launched in 2018 is the only Huawei smartphone among the 21 smartphones supporting Android Q Beta 3 update. Unlike other OEMs, Huawei strictly made it available for the developers.
However, the company today revealed the first list of smartphones to get Android 10 Q update. There is no ETA mentioned and we can only expect them to receive the Android Q update by the end of this year. While the Android Q brings adds the native support for foldable and 5G smartphones, the Huawei Mate 20 X 5G and Mate X Foldable smartphone are missing from the above list. Below is the list of smartphones from Huawei and Honor to first get the Android Q update.
- Huawei Mate 20
- Huawei Mate 20 Pro
- Huawei Mate 20X
- Huawei Mate 20 Porsche Design
- Huawei P30
- Huawei P30 Pro
- Honor V20 (a.k.a Honor View 20)
- Honor Magic 2
With the new Android Q Beta 3, Google also introduced new features like live caption, smart reply, advanced privacy settings, focus mode, and more. We also expect the upcoming Honor 20 and Honor 20 Pro smartphones to get the Android Q along with these devices. Both these flagship smartphones from Honor will be officially unveiled on May 21st in London. Stay tuned on Phone Radar for more details!
