LG Electronics has launched its new mid-range smartphone – the LG X6 in South Korea. The device is said to be MIL-STD 810G certified by the US Department of Defense – meaning it would be more durable as it has undergone several harsh conditioned tests. LG had earlier launched the LG X4 (2019) under its ‘X’ series of smartphones. And, the new LG X6 adds to the line-up as well. The new midrange LG X6 smartphone comes with a gradient color finish on the back alongside the triple rear cameras aligned horizontally.
The LG X6 features a 6.26-inch HD+ display that comes with a dewdrop notch, which beholds the front-facing camera and the speaker grille. It features minimal bezels and a noticeable chin at the bottom of the display as well. The device is said to featuring a ‘New Second Screen’ which is meant to be used as a status bar or a single screen aligned with the main screen. Under the hood, the LG X6 is powered by MediaTek’s Helio P22 SoC followed by 3GB of RAM and 64GB of internal memory.
As for the cameras, as stated earlier, the LG X6 features three cameras on the back comprising of a 16MP primary sensor along with 5MP 120-degree wide-angle sensor and further paired with 2MP depth sensing camera. Up front, the dewdrop notch holds in a 13MP selfie shooter. For authentication, the LG X6 comes with rear mounted fingerprint sensor.
The LG X6 supports Hi-Res Audio with 32-bit DAC and also supports DTS X for 7.1 multi channel surround sound. The device is kept alive by 3500mAh battery. Moreover, the LG X6 supports Bluetooth 5.0 and also features a 3.5mm headphone jack as well. The LG X6 is currently being sold in South Korea for 349,800 won (Rs 21,000 approx). The LG X6 will be featuring two color variants that include – Moroccan Blue and Aurora Black. The device’ availability in other regions is presently unknown.
