LG Is Likely To Announce The New V30 Smartphone On August 31 At IFA 2017

After the launch of the G6 smartphone, LG has been gearing up for announcing its next flagship from the V series, i.e. the V30. Apparently, it looks like the company is all set to announce the smartphone on August 31 at an event which is scheduled to take during IFA 2017 in Berlin. As we all know, the IFA event takes place around the same time every year in Berlin and this where LG announces the new V series smartphone or at least that’s what they have done so far. And now according to the leaked invite, it looks like this year will be no exception for them.

Evan Blass, a famous leakster has revealed the invitation for an event which is scheduled to take place on August 31 and it is hosted by LG. The invite does not talk anything about the V30 smartphone, in particular, however, there is a “V” alphabet visible in the invite and hence we believe that it is indeed the announcement for the V30 smartphone. Even some of the previous rumors pointed towards the possibility of this smartphone launching around the same time and it makes a lot of sense since even the V20 was launched last year around the same time.

The invite subtly hints that the smartphone will have a FullVision display with rounded edges just like the LG G6 did. And in fact, we have heard some of the rumors pointing towards the possibility of the same and it won’t be surprising to see them ditching the secondary display as well. Having a FullVision narrow display will allow them to show the contents of the secondary display within the same panel, thus allowing for a more clean look.

Talking about the specs of the smartphone, as always, this V series smartphone will also be decked out with the top of the line hardware. It is expected that it will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC, which the company missed out on the G6 earlier this year. We can also expect it to have 6GB of RAM. Do make a note that none of this is officially confirmed yet and hence we suggest you wait for the final announcement which is scheduled to take place on August 31. Having said that, we would like to know your thoughts on this. Would you be interested in buying this smartphone if it ever makes it to India?
