The U.S is the only major market where LG had a significant market share when compared to the other markets. In the recent Q3 2015 market share report by ComScore, LG is the only manufacturer in the top five which increased its share from the Q2 2015. The company’s recent smartphone LG V10 had seen major changes over the LG G4 like metal body, fingerprint sensor, and dual selfie cameras, which might me reason for the LG’s success.

According to the famous leakster Evan Blass, the company will be launching a new affordable smartphone dubbed as LG K7 in he U.S. The device is also expected to launch by one or more US carriers. It is codenamed as M1 and will feature a 5-inch display with an FWVGA resolution. Under the hood is the 1.1GHz Snapdragon 210 quad-core processor along with 1.5GB of RAM.

There is an 8GB of internal storage that can be further expandable via MicroSD card slot. It is also expected to feature 5MP rear and front cameras, where an LED flash accompanies the rear camera. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS/A-GPS, and MicroUSB 2.0 port.

While we expect the device to be priced around $200 price range, there are few other smartphones from ZTE and Huawei that comes with almost similar specifications and are priced very aggressively in the US. A couple of weeks LG company had announced the LG Ray smartphone for Latin America and few other CIS regions.

The device comes with 5-inch HD display and is powered by 1.4GHz unknown octa-core processor. It has 1GB of RAM, 16GB of built-in storage, and a larger 3,000mAh replaceable battery. The device does well in the cameras department that sports 13MP rear camera and an 8MP front-facing camera. Worthy to note is that it doesn’t support 4G LTE connectivity.
