LG launched the G6 Smartphone a couple of months back in MWC 2017 where a bunch of other devices were launched. Now the company has finally launched the G6 smartphone here at an event in New Delhi, India. Talking about the launch of this smartphone, we had exclusively covered a story a few days back. The Price of the device, launch offers, etc. was already leaked and hence it left with nothing much to look forward to for this particular launch event.

The LG G6 as all know comes with a new design in comparison to what we saw last year with the LG G5 smartphone. The company has ditched the modular design this time around, in favor of a near bezel-less approach. On the front, there is a massive 5.7-inch QHD+ with a resolution of 1440 x 2880. The Marketing term which the company is using for the display is FullVision Display. It has an unusual aspect ratio of 18:9. The display is pretty much the highlight of the device here.

Speaking of the internals of this device, it is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 SoC which is coupled with 4GB of RAM. The smartphone also comes with a 64GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded via a microSD card upto 2TB. The camera at the back is, however, the same dual-camera setup which we saw with the LG V20 last year. Both are 13MP sensors at the back with the capability of taking wide-angle shots. On the front, we have a 5MP wide-angle lens again with f/2.2 aperture.

Other features worth noticing are a 32-bit Hi-Fi Quad DAC and MIL-STD 810G military standard certification for durability. The smartphone also has IP certification for dust and resistant. Now, talking about the pricing, the company has launched the smartphone for a price of Rs. 51,990 and it will be available starting tomorrow on Amazon India website and LG retail stores in Astro Black, Ice Platinum, and Mystic White color options.

As a part of the introductory offer, HDFC and SBI card users buying the smartphone tomorrow will be getting 10,000 cashback. With this offer, this smartphone is a steal since pretty much all the other premium equivalents are selling for upwards of 50,000 INR. And not just that, LG has partnered with Jio and the customers buying the LG G6 smartphone will also get 100GB additional data which will be valid until March 2018. Having said that, what do you think about this smartphone? Would you be interested in buying it at this price or would you rather go with the Galaxy S8?
