LG announces the new G6+ & G6 with 32GB internal Storage

LG announced the new G6 smartphones earlier this year at the MWC 2017 show floor. The LG G6 is the company’s flagship for the year 2017 and they compete directly with likes of Samsung Galaxy S8. etc. However, when you compare it might feel like the G6 doesn’t pack enough power in comparison to some of the other flagships out there. Hence the company has decided to unveil a new variant, i.e the LG G6+. Well, if you are wondering if this is a plus variant, then no, the physical size of the smartphone remains the same but we do have some internal developments.

First of all, to begin with, let’s just say that the LG G6+ is more like the perfect LG G6 which all of us wanted. If you have been following the news lately, then you might already be aware of the fact that the LG G6 has wireless charging in some markets whereas it doesn’t have that feature in certain markets. Well, the LG G6+ comes with wireless charging. It also has 128GB of internal storage which is obviously more than the standard variant that has 64GB of internal storage.

This also has the Quad DAC which is a hardware feature missing on most of the G6 is select markets. Hence it is safe to say that the LG G6+ is the G6 which LG should have launched in the first place. Now, talking about the LG G6 32GB variant, it is essentially the same LG G6 which is currently out in the market with just half the storage. Everything else about the smartphone is exactly the same.

Another thing which is new about the LG G6+ and the LG G6 32GB variant are the colors. The new LG G6+ comes in Optical Astro Black, Optical Terra Gold, and Optical Marine Blue. These are some new shades that will offer a unique shade depending on the light which falls onto it. The LG G6 32GB variant, on the other hand, gets a new non-optical Terra Gold, non-optical Marine Blue, and an already available Mystic White.

As far as the availability and the pricing goes, we don’t know when is going make them available in South Korea and at what price. In fact, it is yet to be seen if the company is planning on releasing them outside South Korea in other markets like the U.S. etc. We hope at least we get to the see the new LG G6+ here in India. Stay tuned to PhoneRadar for more info about this.
