Lenovo Z6 Lite with Snapdragon 710 SoC Launched in China for Rs 12,000

As teased earlier, Lenovo launched the Lenovo Z6 Lite (a.k.a Lenovo Z6 Youth) smartphone today in China. A few weeks back, the company launched the Lenovo Z6 Pro smartphone powered by Snapdragon 855 Mobile Platform and quad rear cameras. It is currently one of the most affordable Snapdragon 855-powered smartphones in China. Even the newly launched Lenovo Z6 Lite also comes with an aggressive price tag. Inspired by the ThinkPad’s design, the mid-frame of the new Lenovo Z6 Lite is also made up of magnesium alloy.

The device will be available in Midnight Black and Symphony Stardust color options. Talking about the specifications, the Lenovo Z6 Lite sports a 6.3-inch display with Full HD+ (2340 x 1080 pixels) resolution and supports HDR10 playback. With the tiny waterdrop notch, the display on this device offers 93.06% screen-to-body ratio. Under the hood is the 10nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 Mobile Platform coupled with Kryo 360 CPU and Adreno 616 GPU. The device comes in three different storage options – 4GB + 64GB, 6GB + 64GB, and 6GB + 128GB.

There is also a MicroSD card slot for expanding the storage further up to 256GB. It runs on Android 9.0 Pie based ZUI 11 out of the box. In terms of optics, the Lenovo Z6 Lite sports triple rear cameras featuring 16MP primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture, a 5MP wide-angle sensor with f/2.2 aperture, and an 8MP telephoto sensor with f/2.4 aperture. On the front, it sports a 16MP camera for selfies. The device is backed by a 4,050mAh non-removable battery and supports up to 15W fast charging. However, the company is providing an 18W power adapter within the box.

The Lenovo Z6 Lite is also equipped with Allystar HD8040 GNSS chipset to offer up to 1m precision tracking. It supports dual SIM dual standby using the hybrid SIM card slot. The device measures 156.6 × 74.3 × 7.99 mm and weighs 164 grams. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (2.4GHz & 5GHz), Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, 3.5mm audio jack, and USB Type-C port. While the Z6 Lite comes with a rear-facing fingerprint scanner, it also supports face unlock. Both the power button and volume rocker are placed on the right edge.

It also supports Doly Atmos technology for the surround sound experience. Talking about the pricing, the Lenovo Z6 Lite with 4GB of RAM is priced at CNY 1199 (approx USD 175 / INR 12,000). The 6GB RAM variant with 64GB and 128GB of internal storage costs CNY 1399 (approx USD 200 / INR 14,000) and CNY 1699 (approx USD 245 / INR 17,000) respectively. It is currently available for pre-orders and goes on sale starting from May 28th. As seen with the other Lenovo smartphones, the new Lenovo Z6 Lite might not launch outside of China.
