Lenovo K6 Power and K6 Note smartphones have started receiving the Android 7.0 Nougat update as it was promised earlier by the company. The K6 Power was launched last year in the month of November while the K6 Note was unveiled in December. Both the devices came out of the box with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow operating system, and Lenovo also promised an update to these devices.
As most of the software updates, even this will bring many bug fixes and new features like Multi-window support, Quick App Switching, Data Saver, Notification enhancements, support for new locales and languages and much more. The update has already started rolling out via OTA update, and if you have not received it yet and in a hurry to get it, you can always do it manually.
Go to the settings of the device, and tap on about device section. There will be a message displayed that you have got a new update and it can be downloaded using Wi-Fi connectivity or Data network. Once the download is completed, make sure you backup all the important data and also keep the device powered if the charging is less than 60 percent. After the download is completed, install the update, and even Lenovo has mentioned the same and suggested to use Wi-Fi connection to download the update as the size of it is large.
Lenovo also mentioned that if there is a stability issue arising during the update due to legacy app data, a factory reset will help to optimize the device performance. So do you own any of this device? Did you get the update or waiting for the OTA update to hit your device?
