Lenovo K4 Note is another midrange device from Lenovo that has been launched for Rs. 11999 in India and will be exclusively available on Amazon starting from 19th of January and the registration for it has already begun. Last year, the company launched five budget smartphones in India under Rs 10,000 like Lenovo K3 Note, Lenovo A7000, Lenovo A5000, Lenovo A6000 and Lenovo A6000 Plus that came with proper specifications. The Lenovo K4 Note comes with a 5.5 inch 1080p IPS display and is powered by 1.3 GHz Octa-core MediaTek MT6753 processor coupled with up to 450MHz MP3 GPU and 3 GB of DDR3 RAM. The device supports VR headsets and the headset costs Rs. 1299. There is an option to turn on this feature from the settings of the device

How to insert the SIM card on your device?

To insert an SIM card on your Lenovo K4 Note, power off your device and remove its battery that is under the plastic back cover. Now insert the SIM cards into the respective slots as per the clear direction on the back panel. Further, place the battery and put the back cover and boot the device. You have successfully inserted SIM card, and the device is ready to be used.

What is the type of SIM supported on this device?

Lenovo K4 Note is a Dual SIM smartphone and supports dual Standby. The device supports two micro SIM’s and lets its users the luxury of using two different numbers on one device that is very useful to everyone.

How to share your Data network via Tethering on the device?

To share data via tethering on Lenovo K4 Note, go to the settings of the device and tap on the more option. Now select the Tethering and portable hotspot, wherein you can set-up the Wi-Fi hotspot and the security levels on the device to start sharing your data. Make sure you have and activated internet package before proceeding with the above instructions. A maximum of 8 devices can be permitted to access the hotspot.

How to take a Screenshot on my Lenovo K4 Note ?

To take a screenshot on the device there are two ways, one way is to hold the power/lock button along with the volume down button simultaneously until you hear a sound or feel the vibration. This screenshot will be saved in the gallery, and the user can view it and send it as a message if they want to. There is another way Quick snap feature where the user can use any of the volume rockers to a screenshot by double pressing them. This feature won’t work if any music is playing as they will be used to adjust the volume.

What is the MP count of the cameras?

The device comes with a 13 MP camera on the rear with a resolution of 4128 x 3096pixels and also comes with a dual-LED flash. This autofocus camera is capable of taking 1080p videos at 30fps, and it is accompanied with a 5 MP camera on the front. Features like HDR, panorama, face detection, Geo-tagging and touch focus are also available.

How to check for the Android Updates on the device?

To check if any Android update is available for the device, go to the settings and scroll down to find About phone. Now select this option and tap on System update, wherein you have the option to check for the update. If there is an update available the user has to download it initially and then install it, Make sure that the battery on the device is more than 50% while installation.

What are the sensors available on the phone?

K4 Note comes with sensors like, Proximity, accelerometer, gyro and compass. These will be useful daily for various reasons like counting your steps, location and speed at you are moving.

Are there any LED notification lights on the device?

Yes, LED notification light is present on K4 Note that will be blinking whenever there is a missed notification like a call or message. Once the notifications are read or seen this light stops blinking. To activate the LED notification lights, you need to turn on it from the settings of the device.

How much is the internal storage on K4 Note?

Out of 16 GB on internal memory, around 8.42 GB is user accessible the rest is used by the system OS and other applications. There is also an option of extending the memory up to a maximum of 128 GB via microSD card.

Lenovo K4 Note comes with a 3300mAh battery on the back given a talk time of Up to 23 h on 3G and Standby of 265 h. This is excellent battery considering the pricing and will easily last an entire day with a single charge.

How much is the RAM memory on the device?

Out of given 3 GB of RAM, only 1.5 GB can be used by the user, the rest will be used up by the system OS and other background applications. For a mid-range device that is priced around Rs.12,000, this is a good provision and will be a device to look out for.

Can the device capture 4K videos?

No, the device does not support 4K recording on it. 4K recording can be seen mostly on high-end devices or camera-centric devices.

What are the bloatware applications on the device?

The device comes with a lot of bloatware applications like Facebook, Twitter, Skype, Wechat, UC browser, True Caller, Share it, Sync it, Guvera Music, CamScanner, Camcard, WPS Office and few games pre-installed on the device.

Will the device support 4G LTE?

Yes. The K4 Note will be supporting 4G LTE connectivity on both the SIM’s and it has become an important feature in the phone as everyone is looking to be updated and have the 4G connectivity in their device.

What is the model number of the device?

The model number mentioned in the device is Lenovo A7010a48. To check this model number, you have to head to the settings of the device and select the option About phone wherein you can find the model number of the device. The model number of the device will be changing according to the region of the device.

How to change the font size on the device?

Font size can be changed from the Display option that is available in the setting. In the display, we have to tap on Font size, and it can be set accordingly for the user’s convenience.

How to install external apps with apk files on the device?

Installing an external application is always risky and if you still want to install the app with an external apk, then open the settings and tap on the security in the personal section. In the new window, tap on the Unknown sources option and click on the OK button in the pop-up to enable them on your device. Now you can install any app with an external apk on your device.

How to use the Power saving modes on the Lenovo Vibe P1m?

Power saving mode is one of the options available on the device that helps in enhancing the battery life to a greater extend in case of low battery conditions by disabling the background data and applications on the device. To enable this on the device, go to the setting and click on the option battery. Now, click on Battery and tap on the Power Manager button in the list of modes. There is also an Ultimate power saving mode that will turn off all the background applications and gives you more battery life.

How to Schedule Power on & off your device?

Scheduled Power On & Off helps you to power on or power off your device at the particular time automatically. To use this on your device, open the Settings and tap on Scheduled power on & off in the System section. In the new window, toggle the button adjacent to On & Off time to enable that on your device. You can set the time and repeat option by tapping on the time option on your device.

What is Knock to light feature on the device?

Knock to light is similar to double tap to wake up the phone that we can see on most of the device in the market these days. On double tapping the K4 Note screen the device will light up and then can be unlocked accordingly.

What are the features available on K4 Note?

When you head to the Features option from the settings of the device, bundle of options can be found, and each has its functions that are mentioned below.

Smart Scene: This mode is used to smart switching the Scene mode whenever needed.

Wide touch: From here the user can open an application or create a shortcut that can be accessed just by a single touch.

Flip to sleep: The user can turn off the screen of the device just by flipping it.

Fingerprint gesture: You can assign a gesture to the fingerprint sensor from here so that you can access it on touching the sensor located at the rear.

VR Glasses Split-screen Mode Switch: To enter into the VR Glasses Split-screen mode, you need to hold on to the power button you can also close this mode by doing the same. This mode should be turned on when the handset is being used with the VR headset.

Will the handset support NFC connectivity?

Yes, K4 Note comes with NFC (Near field communication) connectivity. With NFC, you can transfer data from other phone or vice versa if the other device also has NFC. This is also used to read NFC tags that are programmed to change the settings of the device when they are tapped.

Does the device have a fingerprint sensor?

Yes, the device comes with a fingerprint sensor that will be providing greater security levels to its users.. The fingerprint sensor is located at the back below the rear camera and apart from giving security to your device; it can be used as a shortcut as the touchpad can be used as a gestured that as been assigned to it.

How to add a Fingerprint scanner on your device?

Lenovo K4 Note comes with a fingerprint scanner on its backs and helps in securing your device. To add a fingerprint on your device, open the Fingerprint Management app by tapping on it. You need to set the lock in two forms, i.e., Pattern or PIN, choose any of the options and proceed further. Now in the Fingerprint Management window, toggle the fingerprint recognition option and enter the pin that you used earlier. Now place the finger on the fingerprint scanner and lift it when the device vibrates and place again. Once the fingerprint is scanned “Fingerprint Enrollment is successful” is displayed on your screen, tap on the Finish button. The user can add up to a maximum of 8 fingers to unlock the device.

How to take a quick snap on the device?

To take a quick snap. the user can use the volume rockers while the camera application is open. You just need to double press any of the volume button and a picture is taken. This is a simple way to take a picture without having to touch the scree of the device.

How to change the wallpaper on the device?

To change the wallpaper on the handset. the user needs to go to the settings of the device and select the display option from the top. Now click on Wallpaper to select from the available options like Static Wallpapers, Live Wallpapers, and Photos. Static wallpapers are regular wallpapers that we use and Live wallpapers are which are active and will be consuming more battery of the device. From the photos option, you can choose any of the images from the photos to make it you wallpaper.

      Yes! you can use both sim cards and one micro sd card

        It is not so with this phone, the micro SD card is inserted in a slot built just over the second sim holder. So you can use both of your sims and the minor SD at the same time.

      Its has slot for two sim cards and one for SD card. This is not a hybrid type. So all in all, there are three slots. SD card is on top of the second micro sim slot.


    seems writer is not having hands on experience on K4 note, to insert sims no need remove the battery, Lenovo suggested not to remove the battery.

    cell broadcasting is a real head ache in this phone. Not able to block this app. Once we force stop this app again gets reset automatically.

      Thats easy….Simply go to your Messages app and navigate to Settings -> Cell Broadcast. Select your provider and uncheck the “ETWS Alert”. This should stop any more Cell Broadcasts from popping up and being a consistent annoyance.

      Yes the battery is not supposes to be removed but also it can be changed in the service centre if required

      Get one, battery is good and there should be no problem at all. If needs replacement it can be replaced at a service center.

      The current Lollipop version only allows up to two fingerprints. Updating to Marshmallow will give you up to 6 six.

      You may use the fingerprint sensor as camera shutter, no need to use the on screen shutter specially for selfies.
