Lenovo K3 Note launched in India with Octa-core processor, 4G LTE for Rs. 9999
Update, 25th June: The Lenovo K3 Note is officially launched in India, and it comes with the 1080p display and an octa-core processor, similar to the one in Lenovo A7000, and there is 16GB internal storage with a MicroSD card slot, as well as USB OTG connectivity. It is a Dual SIM smartphone, and has 4G LTE connectivity as well, with both the SIMs supporting 4G. The camera department as well gets an upgrade, from 8MP in the A7000 to the 13MP one here, and there is a 5MP camera on the front of the device.
The Dolby Atmos technology for sound is also included, and the device comes packed with a 3000 mAh battery. The Vibe UI from Lenovo layers over Android 5.0 Lollipop OS.
The price is set at Rs. 9999, and the registrations begin today while the phone will be available from 8th July, at 2 p.m., exclusively on Flipkart. That would be a limited flash sale, we’re sure.
Earlier, 16th June:
Safe to say that the “Note” word in the media invite is conclusive enough to indicate that the hyped Lenovo K3 Note smartphone is coming to India on June 25th. The 4G capable device from Lenovo is much like a bumped up Lenovo A7000 that has been doing quite great, thanks to the good performance.
The event is going to be held in New Delhi, and the 4G device is already launched in China and it was quite a wait for it to enter the Indian market. This smartphone with a 5.5-inch display has a 1080p resolution, and it is powered by a Mediatek MT6752 processor (octa-core chipset at 1.7GHz), along with 2GB of RAM and 16GB internal storage. To compare with the A7000, there is a better screen resolution to begin with, but the camera on the back is certainly something one might like.
The Lenovo A7000 had a 8-megapixel camera on the back, but the K3 Note comes with a 13-megapixel shooter on the back that makes this phone quite a competitor against the likes of Xiaomi Mi 4i and Asus ZenFone 2. Inside the device is a 3000 mAh battery, and the connectivity options include 4G LTE, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi.
The K3 Note runs Android Lollipop, with Lenovo’s Vibe UI layered over it, which makes it quite a different feel, though the recent Lenovo devices have come in with a lot of bloatware. 16GB internal storage should help in this case, to give the users a good storage amount to start with, though a MciroSD card slot is provided for storage expansion.
The pricing is expected to be somewhere around Rs. 11000-12000, giving justice to the price of A7000 from the company, and going tough against the other devices in the price range. We’ll get to know the details, whether this really is the K3 Note going to be launched or something else, only on June 25th.
