After the launch of the flagship Samsung Galaxy S8 smartphones, people are now waiting for the more affordable offerings to hit the market. And speaking of affordable smartphones, there’s no way that you can miss out on OnePlus. OnePlus has been one of the best in the business when it comes to budget smartphone offerings. And now most people are eyeing for their next smartphone, the OnePlus 5. Well, we didn’t have much to report about this device, until we saw this leaked render image of the device.
Taking a look at the new report which we have now, we can see a new leaked render image of the OnePlus 5. Now, when you first look at the image, you can see that it has a design or the shell which is very similar what we right now with the Oneplus 3T smartphone. So this also means that the upcoming new smartphone from OnePlus will also have the same metal frame which we right now with the OnePlus 3T. Now, this is not necessarily a bad thing, but most people might be disappointed with it as it looks like there won’t be any design changes.
As you can see from the image below, we can only see the back of the device and the render of the front us not really available right now. However, at the back, there is no fingerprint scanner and hence it is expected that it will be on the front like many other smartphones which we have in the market today. And also, one of the things which you might notice is the fact that there are no antenna bands as well at the back. It looks very seamless and it is definitely worth noticing.
Now, talking about the camera sensor, as you can see we are looking at a dual camera setup here at the back. This is something new that OnePlus is trying out here in order to go with the current trend. It will be interesting to see how this works though and how the company is trying to implement it. And as far as the specs go, it looks like the device will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC along with a whopping 8GB of RAM. It is also expected that this time around, OnePlus will go with a 2K display on the front as well.
So overall, this is shaping up to be a great device and we just hope that the company will price it quite aggressively. OnePlus are known for their affordable range of smartphones and if they manage to price this device also similarly, then it is definitely going to be a win. If rumors are to be believed, the device is expected to debut sometime in the month of June just like last year. Hence if you wish to know more about this device then we suggest you stay tuned to PhoneRadar for more details on this.
