Leaked Image Of Google Pixel XL (2017) Shows Less Bezels & A Squeezable Frame

Google is expected to launch the new Pixel (2017) and the pixel XL (2017) later this. There have been a lot of leaks and rumors so far, however, the new leaked images which we have with us here could be your first good look at this year’s Pixel XL smartphone. Yes, the folks over at Android Police have got published an image of what they claim to be the Pixel XL 2017. Well, the name is not confirmed as it could be called the Pixel 2 XL as well. However, the source is fairly confident that what we have here, is what this years’ Pixel XL will look like.

Now taking a look at the image, the first to notice is the change in design. If this is what the Pixel XL is going to look like, then it is safe to say that it is going to look nothing like the last year’s variant. On the front, as you can see, we have minimum bezels or at least the bezels are comparatively smaller than last year’s variant. The display seems to have rounded edges, just like the new Galaxy S8, and the display has pretty pronounced curves. Overall, on the front, we have a clean design, as there is nothing but just the front-facing camera and earpiece.

Coming to the back, the design is somewhat inspired to the last years’ pixel smartphone, however, it is noticeably different. The glass portion of the device is now smaller and does not house the fingerprint scanner. The camera module also looks fairly different. And talking about the camera module, there is no dual camera setup as well, which is quite interesting since it was highly expected that Google will jump into the race of dual camera setup.

The source also notes that the display on the front is a 6-inch panel with an aspect ratio 2:1, just like the LG’s full vision display. It also looks like the frame surrounding the display will be squeezable, just like the one on the HTC U11 smartphone. It looks like this is the future now. However, it will be interesting to see how Google will implement this with the stock Android. Now coming to the launch date of this smartphone, it is expected that Google will launch the new Pixel smartphone by the month of October. This will be the same time when they will also announce Android 8.0 and its name.

Having said that, it is really interesting to see what Google will bring to the table with the new Pixel smartphones. We would like to know your thoughts on this. What do you think about this new design of the Pixel XL? Would you be interested in buying one?
