Leagoo Announces M5 Smartphone with Fingerprint sensor & 2.5D Unbreakable Tempered Glass

The Chinese handset-maker, Leagoo has launched many impressive smartphones at an affordable price bracket in recent times. Now, the company has introduced a new M-series smartphone in its portfolio, which is named as Leagoo M5 and has been listed on the official website. This smartphone comes with the world’s first Nano “All-metal” closed frame with Special Nanomaterial and 94 times CNC-cut enable frame for the front and back panel that helps to increases smartphones impact resistance capability.

The Leagoo M5 smartphone flaunts 5.0-inch IPS HD display with 1280 x 720 pixels resolution that offers 294 PPI of pixel density. There is a 2.5D unbreakable tempered glass that provides exceptional touch experience and also gives the unique & concise look. It comes powered by MediaTek MT6580A quad-core processor that clocks at 1.3 GHz coupled with Mali 400 Graphics, which coordinates the CPU and GPU to lower energy consumption.

Leagoo M5 smartphone supports dual SIM and offers only 3G network connectivity. Other options include Bluetooth, GPS, FM Radio, 3.5mm audio jack and Micro-USB port. The smartphone packs with 16GB built-in memory that can be expanded up to 128GB via microSD card slot along with 2GB RAM that provides multitasking smooth and very fast. It features a Multi-Functional fingerprint sensor that unlocks the device with just 0.19 seconds and also operates a bunch of tasks like taking selfies, opening the apps and flipping the pages.

As per as cameras are concerned, it bears an 8-megapixel autofocus rear camera with f/2.0 aperture, 4P lens and LED flash, which will record videos up to 1080p at 30 frames per second. On the front, it has a 5-megapixel front snapper for taking selfies and video calling. This smartphone delivers dynamic sound performance with Hi-Fi based on Awinic 7 chipset. The Leagoo M5 handset runs on the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow with a new Leagoo Freeme OS 6.0 that provides a unique and delightful UI experience.

The handset comes equipped with a 2300 mAh battery that claims to offer 8.4 hours of talk time and 160 hours of standby time. It measures 141.7 x 71.3 x 8.7 mm dimensions and weighs around 178.1 grams. The Leagoo M5 smartphone will be available in Champagne Gold, Galaxy White, and Titanium Grey color variants. As of now, there is no information regarding the pricing and the availability. Recently, the company had launched Leagoo Z1, Z5 & Z5 LTE smartphones.
