Karbonn Aura 9 with 4000mAh battery, 1GB RAM launched for Rs.6390
Karbonn Mobiles has a launched a new entry-level smartphone called ‘Aura 9‘ in India for Rs.6,390. It comes with 21 Indian languages support, and the main USP of the device is its battery, it features a massive 4,000mAh capacity battery. According to the company, the battery on this device gives upto 10 hours of talk time and lasts up to 300 hours on standby.
This is one of the few smartphones that are offering this kind of larger battery capacity devices. The Celkon Millennia Q5K Power offers a gigantic 5,000mAh capacity even at a lower price than Aura 9. The other smartphones with 4,000mAh batteries are Intex Cloud Power+ and Lava Iris Fuel 60 which are priced under Rs.10,000 price range.
Coming to the specifications, the Aura 9 sports a 5-inch FWVGA (854×480) IPS display and is powered by 1.2 GHz quad-core processor. It has 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage with a microSD card slot for storage expansion up to 32GB.
There is an 8MP rear camera with LED flash and a 5MP front camera. It also supports dual SIM dual standby and offers connectivity features like 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPA/A-GPS, and microUSB. It runs on Android 4.4 KitKat out-of-the-box. The device measures 144 x 71.8 x 9.6 mm and weighs 160 grams. It will be available in the colors – Navy Blue and White. Earlier this the company launched another entry-level smartphone ‘Mach Five‘ for Rs.5,999.
It comes with some better specifications than the newly launched Aura 9 except its battery. The Mach Five sports the same pair of camera sensors as on Aura 9. At Rs.5,999, the device comes with Android 5.0 Lollipop, 2GB of RAM, and 16GB of internal storage.
The device also features swift key 3.0 that also you to chat in the all new 21 languages. While the specifications look great at this price, the 2,200mAh battery is the only disappointment we have with the device. The Aura 9 might be a handy device who is looking for a smartphone with larger capacities and not want to spend more bucks on it.
