It is pretty evident Reliance Jio has been a significant spurt in the tech industry in the country. It has been an immensely popular service right from the launch day itself. Adding to these digital services were the Jio Phones – the Jio Phone and the Jio Phone 2, which came later have also been estimated as the highly advanced feature phones from the company, which had services like WhatsApp and more.
Well, a new report suggests, a successor of Jio Phone 2 – the Jio Phone 3 is in the making, which is expected to launch in the midst of this year. According to the company’s executive in the report, it suggests us that the new supposedly the Jio Phone 3 will be featuring a 5-inch touch screen display, unlike the predecessors that featured a T9 keypad and a QWERTY keyboard respectively.
It is believed to be a smartphone instead of another feature phone; the device is said to be featuring 2GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage along with the microSD expansion as well. As for the cameras, the Jio Phone 3 is assumed to host a 5MP outward facing rear camera and a 2MP selfie shooter. The operating system on the Jio Phone 3 is yet to be known; however, the specs of this phone hint us that it would be an Android Go phone.
Besides it would be unveiled in June this year, the sales would be a month after the launch, and the Jio Phone is expected to hit the offline stores by August, as stated in the report. As for the pricing, it is rumored to cost around Rs 4,500, which is pretty standard pricing for the specs in this segment.
