There are many rumours about the launch of a new iPhone and iPad in March and now Apple has scheduled an event on March 21 at its headquarters in Cupertino, California. The invite comes with a tag line “Let us loop you in” which even I didn’t a clue about that mean. Based on all the rumors and leaks, we can confirm the launch of the smaller iPhone and a smaller iPad Pro along with new bands for Apple Watch.
The smaller iPhone comes with the same design as of iPhone 6S and might also include almost same specifications except the display, where it comes with a 4-inch display and doesn’t support 3D Touch. It is said to come in all the four colors that the iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus are offered. There will be 16GB, 64GB, 128GB storage options to choose from.
It includes Touch ID, where it can be along with NFC for Apple Pay. With the expected price tag between $300 to $400, we can see some growth in the Apple Pay usage. On the other hand, we will not see the successor for iPad Air 2; instead, there will be a smaller iPad Pro with a 9.7-inch display size. The leaks suggest the rear camera will sports 12MP sensor that can record videos in 4K resolution, iPhone 6S and 6S Plus are first devices from Apple to support 4K video recording.
Apple has unveiled the 12.9-inch iPad Pro alongside the iPhone 6S and 6S Plus in September last year and now the smaller variant of the same is about to launch with Apple Pencil support. It comes with quad speakers and smart connector for connecting the smart keyboard and other accessories. For the first time, the rear camera on the Apple tablet will be equipped with LED flash.
The sales of the iPhone SE and smaller iPad Pro are expected to go live in the same week in most of the developed countries. Since the scheduled event is less than ten days away, stay tuned for the more updates in the coming days.
