Infocus was expected to launch the M350 smartphone in India, today, for the price of Rs. 7999. It did that, but the company also went ahead to another announce another device, i.e. the Infocus M530 phablet in India. Calling it “The Mother of all Camera Smartphones”, the company announced the phablet with two 13MP cameras, one on the rear and one for selfies. Something similar that the Micromax Canvas Selfie has.
Having a 5.5-inch HD display, the Infocus M530 boasts an octa-core processor (Mediatek MT6595, clocking at 2.0GHz), along with 2GB of RAM and 16GB internal storage, though the MicroSD card slot helps in storage expansion.
The most interesting part about the device, is the camera combination. The front camera has a F/2.2 aperture and 80-degree wide angle lens, and it has LED flash support. The front camera has autofocus as well, unlike the several selfie cameras on smartphones, which have a fixed focus. The rear 13-megapixel camera has F/1.8 aperture and Dual LED flash. The camera seems to be having Optical Image Stabilization.
The phablet runs Android 4.4 KitKat, and a 3100 mAh battery is packed in. While there is no mention about the version, there is Gorilla Glass protection provided to the display of the Infocus M530. The connectivity options include 4G LTE on one SIM, and 2G on the other, alongside Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, and GPS.
Priced at Rs. 10,999, this seems like a very good smartphone for the camera combination included, along with 4G LTE connectivity. This is the same processor that was included in Lenovo Vibe X2 that was launched at Rs. 20,000. The device goes on sale from June 26th, and there is no registration required. As always, you’ll see this available exclusively on Snapdeal.
The other smartphone that got launched today alongside this, is the Infocus M350, another 4G device but in the competitive price range.
