Infocus had launched a new entry-level smartphone called Infocus M260 in India. Earlier this week the company had launched one of the most affordable metal build smartphone Infocus M535 at Rs. 9,999. The M535 was sold exclusively through Snapdeal and the newly launched M260 also follows the same. It comes in the colors – Vibrant Orange, Pristine White and Fluorescent Green.
Talking about the launch of the M260, Sachin Thapar, Head of InFocus India said, “Mostly, low cost phone is associated with low end specs; however, with InFocus M260 we bring a ‘no-compromise’ fully loaded smartphone experience to the first time smartphone buyer. Our strategic partnership with world’s best manufacturer, Foxconn, ensures highest build quality backed with consistent performance on InFocus M260 at a disruptive pricing, truly democratising the smartphone industry”.
The M260 sports some impressive specs which no other device offers at this price range. It comes with 4.5-inch FWVGA display. The device is powered by 1.3GHz unknown processor coupled with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage. There is also a microSD card slot for storage expansion up to 64GB.
The device feels small in hand which measures 132.87 x 67.8 x 10.48 mm and but not that light by weighing 155 grams. It has a 5MP rear camera with fixed focus and LED focus, on the front it has a 2MP selfie camera. The device supports dual SIM dual standby but lacks the 4G LTE.
The 2,000mAh removable battery on this device can give a good battery life. Connectivity on this device includes 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and MicroUSB 2.0. It runs on Android 5.0.2 Lollipop with Life 2.0 UI on top. Intex had launched the Aqua Wave priced at Rs. 2,949 but comparing to the M260 there are many differences in specifications and even there will be more differences in experiencing smartphones.
While Indian manufacturers are cutting down the specifications for making the devices more affordable, the Infocus M260 priced at just Rs. 3,999 came up with top notch specs for this price-range. Stay tuned for more updates regarding the device in the coming days.
