Indian Facebook users can now Post LIVE Video Streams directly from the Android App
Facebook introduced a new feature called the Facebook Live which was previously available for few users on the iOS platform in select countries. Now it seems the company has actually made the feature live for everyone in India. Yes, this option is now available to users on the Ios and Android app.
So if you want to use this feature and broadcast yourself, then you should see an option right on the front screen. Look out for an option which says Go Live. If you do not see this, then tap on the What’s on your mind box and then look for the Live Video option towards the bottom of the screen on the resulting screen. This works both on the iOS and the Android app for Facebook. They also introduced a new feature called offline videos, which is similar to YouTube offline feature.
Essentially this feature allows you to broadcast a live video feed, and your friends and followers will get a notification of the same. The notification will show the title you have set for the video, and it will say that you are live. Well, now that this feature has gone live, expect your news feed to go crazy with all your friends trying to post a live broadcast of themselves.
And the interesting part is, Facebook allows these videos of up to four hours in duration now which is almost double the duration of what was there previously. Other basic options include the ability to hide the comments while broadcasting and yes, it also allows you to go full screen. So if you are interested then go ahead and try this new feature and if you do not see it yet, then try updating your app to the latest version. Let us know how do you like it and stay tuned for more info like this.
