India expected to hold 15% of World’s Smartphone Market Share surpassing U.S. by 2019

When it comes to smartphone market share, China is on the top right there leading the charts. Currently, the country holds about 31-percent of the world’s smartphone market share. And according to the new report published the source, it looks like China is not moving from that position anytime soon. In fact, by the year 2019, the numbers are going to keep growing for China keeping on the top of the charts. So things are looking pretty strong for China. However, the same can’t be said for the U.S.

Yes, according to the report, the U.S which currently stands tall as one of the top-selling smartphone markets in the world, will be soon outpaced by others. In fact, by the year 2019, India is expected to surpass and become one of the top smartphone selling market in the world. The same has been confirmed by the source after breaking down some of the older reports and by analyzing the results.

By the year 2019, China and India, both the neighboring countries are expected to be on the top two positions in terms of the overall smartphone market share. As mentioned earlier, China holds the top position and it looks like it will retain the same until 2019. India which is doing exceptionally well in terms of the smartphone sales now is expected to the U.S and have almost 15-precent of the entire world’s smartphone market share.

The U.S has always been on the top with other big players, but it looks like the time is up. But by the year 2019, it looks like it is going to stall with a 10-percent share. Brazil is also expected to be next in number after the U.S with 4-percent by the year 2019. Here is an insight of the last three years t give you a better idea.

However, India taking a lead over U.S is shouldn’t really be that surprising after all. Apple is now making iPhones in India and even Google has programs like Android Go in India so that everyone can have access to smartphones.
