Huawei Y9 2019 Gets Rs 3000 Discount in India

In January this year, Huawei launched the mid-range Huawei Y9 2019 smartphone in India. It was then priced at Rs 15,990 and came in Midnight Black and Sapphire Blue color options. Huawei also announced the device in Aurora Purple but it is not yet made available in the country. Now, the company announced a price cut of Rs 3,000 on the Huawei Y9 2019 smartphone. It is currently retailing for Rs 12,990 on Amazon India. At that price, it is one of the cheapest smartphones to offer dual cameras both on the front and rear.

While the company earlier offered the boAt Rockerz 255 sports Bluetooth earphones for free, it is no longer bundled with the device. However, it can be purchased separately for just Rs 1,499. Talking about the Huawei Y9 2019, it looks premium with the glossy finish 3D curved body. On the front, the device sports a 6.5-inch IPS display with Full HD+ (2340 × 1080 pixels) resolution and 19:5:9 aspect ratio. It runs on Android 8.1 Oreo-based EMUI 8.2 out of the box.

However, it comes powered by the same old 12nm Kirin 710 octa-core processor as seen on several other Huawei and Honor smartphones. It comes coupled with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. There is also a dedicated MicroSD card slot for storage expansion of up to 400GB. Talking about the cameras, the Huawei Y9 2019 sports 16MP + 2MP dual camera setup on the rear and a 13MP + 2MP dual camera setup on the front.

It is backed by a 4,000mAh non-removable battery and supports fast charging. It comes with a rear-facing fingerprint scanner and also supports face unlock. It measures 162.4 × 77.1 × 8.05 mm and weighs 173 grams. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, 3.5mm audio jack, and MicroUSB 2.0 port.
