Huawei Watch 2 to be unveiled alongside P10 smartphone at MWC in coming weeks

The Mobile World Congress is just a couple weeks away from now and just like every year, we now have some interesting last minute info lurking our way. When it comes to MWC, Huawei is one of the brands which we need to look out for, since they usually launch a couple of interesting products in MWC every year. This year, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer has confirmed that the upcoming P10 smartphone will make a debut on the show floor and along with it, will the new Huawei Watch 2. The same has been confirmed by the CEO Richard Yu on Weibo.
While we don’t have much info about the watch itself since it was not something that was officially confirmed by the company, but we do have a confirmation from the CEO on the same. However, the teaser for the Huawei P10 clearly shows that a new smartphone is indeed making a debut. Along with the Huawei Watch 2 confirmation, the CEO also shared the below image related to the Huawei Watch 2, however, we don’t have a clear visual on the watch itself.
Having said that, it is worth mentioning that the watch has been in development for quite a long time now. There were few reports back in 2015 which stated that a new watch iteration from Huawei is inbound. But soon after that buzz went down and then slow pace of the smartwatch industry didn’t really got anybody excited for any other watch. However, now that Android Wear 2.0 is in place, things might get better in comparison to what it was earlier.
Talking about the watch itself, as mentioned earlier, we don’t have much info, but it is expected that Huawei will keep up with the round/ circular display for the same. There are a couple of other reports which states that the watch will have an inbuilt SIM as well, to be able to make and receive calls on the go. This is becoming a mainstream feature for all the smartwatches now. With that said, stay tuned for more info on the same as we will be updating you once we have some more details regarding the watch itself.
