Huawei Quick Charging Technology charges a 3000 mAh Phone Battery to 48% in 5 Minutes

Huawei has announced a new super quick charging battery technology that can charge ten times faster than current batteries. The company had demoed this new technology at the 56th Battery Symposium held in Japan where they tested the 600mAh and 3,000mAh batteries using the new technology, and the results are pretty impressive.
In just 2 minutes, the 600mAh quick charging battery had charged 68% compared to the normal battery that was charged just 2%. This can make the wearables to fully charged in mere minutes. On the other side, the 3,000mAh quick charging battery was charged for 5 minutes, and it had reached to 48% that is much faster than the current Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 3.0 and OPPO VOCC Flash Charge technologies.
While the Huawei’s new technology comes integrated within the batteries, the other fast charge technologies are based on the power adapters that can work with normal batteries. According to the company, they had bonded heteroatoms to the molecule of graphite in the anode, which could be a catalyst for the capture and transmission of lithium through carbon bonds. These new bonded atoms are key for the increase in charging speed of batteries, and they will also not affect the battery life.
