Huawei Event April 15th

Huawei has seen a tremendous rise in 2015 where it had also become the world’s third largest smartphone maker in the world, only next to Samsung and Apple. At the upcoming CES 2016, the company is expected to announce Huawei Mate 8 that was launched recently in China for the international markets. All of a sudden, a new leak suggest the about to launch Huawei P9 will make its debut on the same stage.

The device is supposed to sport a whopping 6GB of RAM, where the world’s first smartphone with 4GB RAM, Asus Zenfone 2 is unveiled a year back at the same CES event. Though we aren’t pretty sure about the device to sport a 6GB of RAM where the 4GB of RAM is considered to be more than enough for any smartphone. Apart from the RAM, the device will be powered by the latest Kirin 950 processor coupled with Mali-T880 GPU.

A couple of months the camera strip of the Huawei P9 is leaked online suggesting the device to sport dual rear cameras with camera module same as the Huawei Nexus 6P. The 16MP rear camera will be assisted by another one with lower resolution sensor to measure the depth of field. From the image, we can also see an additional slot apart from the LED flash slot, which we expect to be for laser autofocus.

The device will be launched in two variants named Huawei P9 LTE and Huawei P9 Deluxe, but there is no information regarding the differences in between these two variants. The display will be of 5.2-inches with Full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution while almost all the premium smartphone features a Quad HD (2560 x 1440) display.

It comes with a metal build body and a fingerprint sensor placed on the rear of the device. Apart from the Huawei P9, the company might also unveil P9 Lite and P9 Max with 5-inch and 6.8-inch screen sizes respectively. While the manufacturer hasn’t confirmed these details, take this with a pinch of salt until there is some official source. Since there are some other major announcements expected at the CES 2016, stay tuned for more details.
