Huawei P9 with 12MP Dual Rear Cameras & Laser AutoFocus Leaked, to Launch in 1H 2016

Huawei has recently unveiled the Windows 10 powered Huawei Matebook at Mobile World Congress held in February. Earlier to the event, Huawei P9 was also expected to launch alongside the Huawei Matebook, though the later rumors confirmed it to be unveiled at an exclusive event that will be held in the next couple of months. Today the leaked images of the actual device confirm the Nexus 6P like camera stripe housing 12-megapixel dual cameras along with dual tone LED flash and laser autofocus.
This is not the first time we are hearing about the dual rear cameras on Huawei P9; there are certain leaks way back in 2015 confirming the dual rear camera setup on the Huawei P9. The Honor 6 Plus that was launched in 2014 is the first device from Huawei to sport dual camera setup. There is also a fingerprint sensor placed on the rear of the device sitting just below the camera strip.
It comes with an all metal body featuring the USB Type-C port along with the speaker and 3.5mm audio port on the bottom edge. The device codenamed as ‘Eva’ is confirmed to launch in the first half of 2016. One of the four variants of Huawei P9 features a 5.2-inch display with Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) resolution.
Under the hood of the high-end Huawei P9 is the upcoming in-house Kirin 955 octa-core processor clubbed with 4GB of RAM while the basic variant is limited to the latest Kirin 950 Soc and 3GB of RAM. The volume rocker and the power button are placed on the right edge of the device.
The device is backed by a 3,900mAh battery and runs on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow with EMUI overlaid. Unlike the Huawei P8 that was along with a P8 Lite and P8 Max variants, the upcoming P9 comes in a total of four variants where the fourth one will feature enhanced specifications. Stay tuned for the official launch of the Huawei P9, which is expected in the next couple of months.
