In February this year, Huawei launched the Huawei P10 and P10 Plus smartphones in a slew of colors. The list includes Arctic White, Dazzling Blue, Dazzling Gold, Prestige Gold, Graphite Black, Mystic Silver, Rose Gold and the all-new Greenery. Almost six months after unveiling the devices, the company launched the Huawei P10 Plus in the new Bright Black color in China. While the earlier Black variants came with a matte finish, the new Bright Black variant comes with a glossy finish. It is currently available to pre-order for 4,888 Yuan (approx $732 / Rs. 47,000) in China.

Talking about the specifications, the Huawei P10 Plus sports a 5.5-inch Quad HD (2560 x 1440 pixels) display and comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection on the top. Under the hood is the 2.3GHz Kirin 960 octa-core processor coupled with Mali G71 MP8 GPU. The P10 Plus comes in 4GB and 6GB RAM variants with 64GB and 128GB of internal storage. There is also a MicroSD card slot for expanding the storage up to 256GB. The devices run on Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box with the customized EMUI 5.1 laid on top.

Coming to the cameras, the Huawei P10 Plus sports a 20MP monochrome and 12MP RGB sensors on the rear with the Leica branded lens. It offers PDAF, laser autofocus, OIS, and dual tone LED flash. For selfies, there is an 8MP selfie camera that comes with a f/1.8 aperture on the Huawei P10 Plus. The nano coating on the device also makes it splash proof. The device supports dual SIM dual standby using the hybrid SIM slot, where the user can include a MicroSD card instead of the secondary SIM. It measures 153.5 ×74.2 ×6.98 mm and weighs 165 grams.

It is backed by a 3,750mAh non-removable battery and supports new SuperCharge technology that can give 50% of battery life in just 30 minutes. The Smart Touch home button on the front comes with Gesture support and features under the glass fingerprint sensor. Connectivity options include 4.5 LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, NFC, 3.5mm audio jack, and USB Type-C port. Earlier this month, the company also launched the Huawei Nova 2 Plus smartphone in Bright Silver color. It offers mirror finish and looks similar to the Xiaomi Mi 6 Silver Edition.
