Huawei P10 Lite Smartphone with Kirin 658 SoC & 4GB RAM Now Available in Europe

At the Mobile World Congress 2017, Huawei unveiled the all-new flagship smartphones – Huawei P10 and P10 Plus. Both these devices come with high-end specifications and run on the latest Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box. While there rumors about the launch of Huawei P10 Lite, the company is yet to officially announce the device. However, a European online store named Monclick already listed the Huawei P10 Lite and is also taking the pre-orders. As seen with earlier launched Huawei P8 Lite and P9 Lite, the new P10 Lite also comes with a single camera on the rear and sports mid-range specifications.

It sports a metal frame with glass on front and back of the device. The P10 Lite comes with a 5.2-inch IPS display offering Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) resolution. Under the hood is the new Kirin 658 octa-core processor clocked at 2.1GHz, we expect this to be the upgraded variant of the Kirin 655 SoC that comes with Honor 6X smartphone. The device also packs 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage that can be further expanded upto 128GB via MicroSD card slot. The Kirin 655 processor performed better while I used the Honor 6X and now, the Kirin 658 might make the P10 Lite even powerful along with longer battery life.

There is a 12MP autofocus camera on the rear with f/2.2 aperture and LED flash. For selfies, the Huawei P10 Lite comes with an 8MP front camera with fixed focus. It is backed by a 3,100mAh non-removable battery that can give at least a day long battery life with moderate usage. On the rear, we can also find fingerprint sensor that can be as a shutter button while capturing selfies. As it includes NFC, the device can be used for mobile payment services like Android Pay and Huawei Pay. It comes with dual SIM dual standby support and offers VoLTE for making HD voice calls and accessing faster data speeds.

Connectivity options include 4G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS, NFC, 3.5mm Audio port, and a MicroUSB 2.0 port. It runs on Android  7.1 Nougat and comes with the customized EMUI 5.1 skin laid on top. Interestingly, the Honor 8 Lite (a.k.a Huawei Nova Youth Edition) also the come with same specifications as on the Huawei P10 Lite but with a different design. The power button and volume rocker are placed on the right edge whereas the hybrid SIM card slot can be found on the left edge. It comes in White, Black, and Gold color options and is priced at EUR 349 (approx $370 / Rs. 24,000). While the Huawei P10 Lite can’t be expected to launch in India, we might see the launch of Honor 8 Lite. Stay tuned on Phone Radar for more details
