Huawei has unveiled its much-anticipated nova 5 series in China, wherein it had launched three nova 5 phones — the nova 5, nova 5 Pro and the nova 5i. Along with the new phones line-up, Huawei has added two new tablets for existing MediaPad line-up. The Chinese multinational technology maker has announced its new MediaPad M6 tablets that include — an 8.4-inch model and the larger 10.8-inch model.
While both the MediaPads share identical specifications except for the screen sizes and the battery capacity, the new M6 MediaPads feature LCD displays with noticeable bezels up front and have a resolution of 2560×1600 pixels. Under the hood, the M6 tablets are powered by Huawei’s flagship Kirin 980 SoC, followed by 4GB of RAM and these M6 tablets would be featuring in two storage variants i.e., either 64GB or 128GB of onboard storage.
Both the MediaPads feature single 13MP rear cameras and up front, they feature an 8MP selfie shooter. As stated earlier, these tablets differ in battery capacity, wherein the larger 10.8-inch is fuelled by a 7500mAh battery, and the 8.40-inch is kept alive bt a smaller 6100mAh battery. Both the MediaPads ship with Android 9.1-based EMUI 9.1 out-of-the-box. The larger MediaPad 10.8-inch is said to be powered by Harman Kardon surround speaker support as well.
On the I/O front, the MediaPads come with USB Type-C port, microSD card slot for storage expansion, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and the tablets also have pins to attach the company-made keyboard case too.
And, lastly, as for the pricing, the smaller 8.4-inch starts at CNY 1,999 (Rs 21,000 approx) for the 4G+64GB Wi-Fi variant and goes all the way up to CNY 2,699 (Rs 27,500) for the top speced 4GB+128GB cellular variant. Further, the MediaPad M6 10.8-inch starts at CNY 2,299 (Rs 23,500 approx) for the 4GB+64GB variant and the larger 4GB+128GB variants is priced at CNY 3,499 (Rs 35,500 approx)
