Huawei has recently launched its the high-end smartphone Honor 7 in India for Rs.22,999. It comes with all metal body and high-end specifications making it one of the best smartphone available at such a low price. Today the company had unveiled its new mid-range smartphone Enjoy 5 at 999 Yuan ($158). The USP of the device is its 4,000mAh battery that can last upto 10 days 12 hours of standby. With the huge growth in global shipments, now the company seeks to be aggressive in its home country to compete against the likes of low-cost smartphone manufacturers.
The last years Honor 4X has a been a grand success for the company that has sold in more than 10 million units. Now with the launch of Enjoy 5, the company follows the same strategy of providing mid-range specs along with great build quality at lower price. The specifications and design of the Enjoy 5 look almost similar to that of Honor 4X but with a different processor and larger battery.
The device comes with a 5-inch HD display along with a MediaTek MT6735 quad-core processor. The Honor 4X came with Kirin processor for Chinese markets and Snapdragon processor for international markets. It has 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage along with a microSD card slot for storage expansion up to 128GB.
It is expected to sport same 13MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera that was earlier seen on Honor 4X. The Enjoy 5 runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop based EMUI 3.0 out-of-the-box. The device supports dual SIM dual standby and offers 4G LTE connection on both the SIM’s.
Even with such a large battery, the device weighs just 160 grams and measures 143.1 x 71.8 x 9.7 mm. With the battery of this device, you can even charge the other smartphone with the reverse charging option. As of now, there is no information regarding the launch of the device in other markets.
