How To Use any iPhone’s Touch ID Sensor as Capacitive Home Button

Apple had introduced the 2nd Gen Touch ID with the recently launched iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus. According to the company, the latest Touch ID can unlock the device in half of the time taken by the Touch ID on iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. Now we can even use the Touch ID as a Home button, it works same as the capacitive buttons on Android.
With this new tweak, you don’t even need to press the Home button. All it require is just a tap on the Touch ID instead of pressing with some force. The devices starting from iPhone 5S to the latest iPhone 6S and 6S Plus will work with this tweak since these are the only device to include Touch ID. This tweak is more helpful for the users who had iPhones with non-working Home button.
To install this feature, your should jailbreak your iPhone, which will also void your warranty. Open the Cydia app on the jailbreak iPhone and search for ‘Virtual Home (iOS 7)’ which will also work on the latest iOS 9. Once the installation is done, restart the device, and you need to add atleast one fingerprint sample, but it’s not mandatory to enable the device to unlock with Touch ID.
Once you successfully added a Fingerprint sensor, the Touch ID on the iPhone is your new Capacitive Home button. To customize the app, go to settings and open the VirtualHome, there you can change the action for the ‘Tap & Hold’ and ‘Double Tap’ options.
