Huawei Honor 5X Smartphone with Fingerprint Scanner Launched at $157

Honor 5X is expected to be launched at the Huawei event held earlier this month, instead the company came up with a new device called as ‘Enjoy 5.’ Today the company had officially launched the Honor 5X in China for 999 Yuan (approx $157 / Rs. 10,200). The device comes with the fingerprint sensor placed on the rear of the device. At such a low price, the Honor 5X is the most affordable smartphone with a fingerprint sensor to be launched by the company.

While the earlier launched Honor 4X sports entry-level specifications, the Honor 5X comes with some decent mid-range specifications. The device comes with a 5.5-inch display with 1080p resolution. It will be powered by 64-bit Snapdragon 616 octa-core processor along with Adreno 405 GPU. The device comes in two variants, one with 2GB and the other with 3GB RAM. It has 16GB of internal storage along with a microSD card slot for storage expansion upto 128GB.

The 2nd Gen fingerprint sensor can unlock your device in just 0.4 sec. It has a 13MP rear camera with dual LED flash and a 5MP front-facing camera for selfies and video calls. The ‘Food Mode’ that was first introduced in the recently launched flagship device Honor 7 will available on this device.

It has 3,000mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 support that can charge 50% battery in just 30 minutes. The device supports dual SIM dual standby and offers 4G LTE Connectivity on both the SIM’s. While the 2GB RAM variant is priced at 999 Yuan, the 3GB RAM variant costs 1399 Yuan (approx $220 / Rs. 14,300).
