Honor 20i Giveaway – Top 5 Features You Should Know About

Last month, Honor launched the all-new Honor 20 series in India. Alongside the Honor 20 and Honor 20 Pro flagship smartphones, the company also launched the mid-range Honor 20i. The 4GB + 128GB storage variant was officially announced for Rs 14,999. At that price, the device not only packs decent hardware but is also the most affordable Honor smartphone with the triple camera setup. The Honor 20i also stands out from the crowded India budget smartphone segment with its attractive design.

Now, the company released the all-new Phantom Red color which will go on sale during the Flipkart National Shopping Days Sale. The new variant comes with a sophisticated 3D photolithography technology which provides the smartphone with a prism-shaped color gradient that has hues of purple, red and pink. During the sale period (Aug 8th – 10th), it can be purchased for just Rs 12,999 (10% additional discount for ICICI Bank cards).

Below are the top 5 features of the Honor 20i smartphone:

Gradient Design

The Honor 20i sports 3D curved glossy finish polycarbonate body with gradient color options. The Phantom Blue is the color of our choice and could be yours too. The gleaming effect in Blue and Purple hues gives a premium look to the device. The device also looks sleek measuring in at about 7.95mm thick and weighing just 164g. While the Honor 20i comes with a stunning design, the glossy finish body picks up smudges very quickly.

Triple Camera Setup

The Honor 20 is one of the very few smartphones under Rs 15,000 price range to come with the triple camera setup. It is also the most affordable triple camera smartphone from Honor. The Honor 20i sports 24MP primary camera with f/1.8 aperture, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera with f/2.4 aperture, and a 2MP depth camera with f/2.4 aperture. With the Honor 20i, the user can capture photos with a 120-degree field-of-view. With the dedicated depth sensor, the device can also capture better portrait shots. There is also a dedicated ‘AIS Super Night Mode’ for capturing photos in low light conditions. While it lacks 4K video recording, it can record 1080p videos at 60 fps.

32MP Selfie Camera

Coming to the front camera, the Honor 20i is equipped with a 32MP selfie camera. Even the flagship Honor 20 smartphones also offer the same sensor. It can capture selfies with great details and good colors. There is also an Al-based ‘Portrait Mode’ which offers better edge detection than other budget smartphones. As seen on high-end Honor smartphones, the Honor 20i also comes with ‘3D Portrait Lighting’ feature. The auto scene detection feature also works for the front camera on this device.

AI Camera Options

While we already talked about the cameras, now let’s take a look at the several camera features of the Honor 20i smartphone. The built-in camera app comes with Pro mode for capturing photos with manual settings. It even includes ‘Light Painting’ option to shoot traffic trails or star trails. The AI scene detection works perfectly for most of the time. It offers better output by enhancing the photo based on the detected category. The app also includes built-in stickers and filters, if you are into those sort of add-ons.

EMUI

Just like many other Chinese smartphones, the Honor 20i also comes with a heavily customized skin called EMUI. There are a few pre-installed apps which can be uninstalled for adding a few extra MBs of storage. Unlike the vanilla-flavored Android, the EMUI brings few extra features to the table. The device comes with ‘Ride Mode’ which helps the users from getting distracted while riding bikes. It comes with ‘Digital Balance’ option which works the same as Digital Wellbeing on stock Android smartphones. The gesture-based navigation which became a standard option on current smartphones also works perfectly on the Honor 20i. Also, there are no ads on the UI of this smartphone.
