Honor 20 Pro to Sport Punch-hole Display with 32MP Selfie Camera

Later this month, Honor will be launching the Honor 20 series in London. This time, the company will be launching Honor 20 and Honor 20 Pro smartphones. Now, the new images spotted online revealed the first look of the Honor 20 Pro. While the upcoming OnePlus 7 Pro and ASUS Zenfone 6Z smartphones are officially confirmed to launch with no-notch displays, the Honor 20 Pro will be coming with a punch-hole display. The Honor View 20 launched in December 2018 is the world’s first smartphone to launch with the punch-hole display.
Both the Honor 20 and Honor 20 Pro smartphones are rumored to come with the same design. Under the hood, the devices come powered by the 7nm HiSilicon Kirin 980 octa-core processor coupled Mali-G76 GPU and dual NPU. As per the earlier leaks, the Honor 20 will come with a triple camera featuring a customized Sony IMX586 sensor with RYYB filter. On the other hand, the Honor 20 Pro will sport quad rear cameras featuring Sony IMX600 sensor. The Honor 20 Pro will be launched in 6GB + 128GB, 8GB + 128GB, and 8GB + 256GB storage variants.
While the Honor 20 comes with 22.5W (4.5V/5A) Huawei SuperCharge adapter, the Honor 20 Pro supports 40W SuperCharge. Both the devices will be running on Android 9.0 Pie based EMUI 9.2 out of the box. Last year’s Honor View 20 also came with Kirin 980 chipset and offered 22.5W fast charging support. In terms of performance, we might not see a huge difference between the Honor View 20 and Honor 20 smartphones. However, the main difference should be in the camera department. The Honor View 20 offered 48MP Sony IMX586 camera and a ToF 3D sensor on the rear.
For selfies, it came with a 25MP front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture. Talking about the Honor 20 series, the company will be officially launching the 2019 flagship smartphones on May 21st in London. Stay tuned on Phone Radar for more details!
