Honor 10 with 5.84″ Notch Display & 24MP AI Cameras Launched

Earlier this year, Huawei unveiled the Huawei P20 and Huawei P20 Pro smartphones with best in class cameras. Now, its sub-brand Honor came up with its 2018 flagship smartphone called Honor 10 in China. It will be making global next month and is expected to come with a very aggressive price tag. In China, the Honor 10 with 64GB and 128GB storage options is priced at 2599 Yuan and 2999 Yuan respectively.

Just like the Huawei P20 smartphones, the Honor 10 also comes with AI-assisted cameras on the front and rear. However, there is no Leica branding on the Honor 10 smartphone. It will be available in Purple, Black, Blue, and Grey color options. As seen on the previous Honor flagship smartphones, the new Honor 10 also comes with gradient finish on the rear. On the front, there is a 5.84-inch display with Full HD+ (2280 x 1080 pixels) resolution with 19:9 aspect ratio and notch.

Under the hood is the HiSilicon Kirin 970 octa-core processor coupled with Mali-G72 MP12 GPU and dedicated NPU. It comes with 6GB of RAM and will be available in 64GB and 128GB storage options. The device runs on the latest Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box with EMUI 8.1 laid on top. Talking about the cameras, there is a 16MP RGB sensor and a 24MP Monochrome sensor on the rear with f/1.8 aperture and CAF autofocus.

For selfies, there is a single 24MP sensor on the front with f/2.0 aperture. The camera app comes equipped with AI integration for scene detection. With the Honor 10, the company is also offering customizable AR Stickers. It is backed by a 3,400mAh non-removable battery that supports up to 5V/4.5A (22.5W) super fast charging. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, NFC, IR Blaster, 3.5mm audio jack, and a USB Type-C port.

The Honor 10 also sports a dedicated AK4376A audio chip for Hi-Fi audio output. Beneath the display, there is also a front-facing fingerprint sensor.
