Google which started as a search engine has evolved into many areas & is now a large giant which does so many things at the same time that its hard to take a track of. Android is the OS from Google which has the major share in the Mobile Ecosystem that’s used by millions of users every day. All these devices including the Smartphones come with an option of finding something with just your voice. It is easy, useful & very convenient, that ensures that even if a person is not good in English, can still use the search function & find the stuff he is looking forward to. Google Voice Search is now available in regional languages that just gets enabled with a Tap. While covering this story it’s available in Hindi, but would be expanded to Tamil, Marathi and Bengali in coming months.
There are two sides of this story. One which is about the advantage of Google recording your voices, while other could be the creepy google which is recording it without your consent. [I know you did agree to all the TOS, but that doesn’t mean you agree to everything they wish they could do right?]. Every time you search for something on Google, the query & related information is stored & is also available to you to keep a track of it, in case you need to look back.
Finding the Voice Recordings Online
Similar to the Google searches, the voice searches are also recorded along with the app used for the query and the time. Isn’t that creepy because you would be shocked to see thousands of your own voice matches stored under the Google accounts & this includes the test searches you would have done on some test devices.
In order to find this you need to perform the following steps:
- Visit history.google.com after logging into your Google account.
- Click on the three horizontal lines on the Top left of the page.
- Click on “Voice & Audio Activity” link.
- Scroll through all the list of voice activities you need to delete.
- Check on the square box next to the inputs & click on Delete.
