Google Pixel 3a & Pixel 3a XL Will be Flipkart Exclusive in India, Launching on May 8th

Google will be launching the new Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a smartphones on May 7th in the US. Now, the company has officially confirmed to launch the upcoming mid-range pixels in the Indian market. As expected, the India launch will be held on May 8th. Both the Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL smartphones will be exclusively sold via Flipkart in India. Even the previous Google Pixel smartphones are exclusive to Flipkart. The devices are also rumored to come with the Titan M security chip and eSIM support.
Based on the leaks, the Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3a XL will be priced at CAD 650 (approx USD 490 / INR 33,500) and CAD 800 (approx USD 600 / INR 41,500) respectively in Canada. However, we expect the company to launch these devices in the Indian market with a bit more aggressive pricing. Both the devices come with thick bezels on the front. While the Pixel 3a comes with 5.6-inch Full HD+ display with 18:9 aspect ratio, the Pixel 3a XL sports a slightly bigger 6-inch Full HD+ display with 18.5:9 aspect ratio.
As seen on the Pixel 3 smartphones, the upcoming Pixel 3a smartphones also support Active Edge squeeze feature. While the Pixel 3a is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 670 Mobile Platform, the Pixel 3a XL packs Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 Mobile Platform. Both the devices offer 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The company will also offer 18W fast charging support using the USB Type-C port. With these mid-range Pixels, Google will be bringing back the 3.5mm audio jack.
In terms of optics, the Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL will come with a 12.2MP camera on the rear and an 8MP selfie camera on the front. With these mid-range devices, the users get the same rear camera which was offered with the Pixel 3 smartphones. The Pixel 3a smartphones will certainly dominate the camera department in the mid-range segment, especially the Night Sight mode will make them unbeatable in low-light photography.
