The latest Android Q Beta 1 update revealed the names for the mid-range Pixel devices as Google Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL. While we are seeing leaks about these devices from the last six months, we are now getting some sort of confirmations. 9to5Google has independently confirmed the earlier leaked details and also revealed some new information. Firstly, the devices are confirmed to be debuting the smartphone market as Google Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL.
The Google Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL will come with 5.6-inch and 6-inch displays respectively. Also, both these devices sport AMOLED panels and come in 18:9 aspect ratio. They will be launched in three color options including Clearly White and Just Black. As seen on the Pixel 3 devices, the upcoming Pixel 3a smartphones will also come with Active Edge squeeze feature on both the sides. The devices will come equipped with the Titan M security chip and also supports eSIM.
We also got a few more details about the specifications of the Pixel 3a smartphone. It will be offering 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The device will be backed by a 3,000mAh battery and supports 18W fast charging using the USB-C port. The 5.6-inch AMOLED display on the Pixel 3a will come with Full HD+ (2220 × 1080 pixels) resolution at 440dpi. Under the hood is the 10nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 670 Mobile Platform coupled with Kryo 360 CPU and Adreno 616 GPU.
In terms of optics, the devices will be coming with a 12MP camera on the rear and an 8MP selfie camera on the front. While there is no confirmation, the bigger Pixel 3a XL might come with Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 Mobile Platform. As of now, there is no word on the launch date of these new Google Pixel smartphones.
