Google Pixel 3 Lite & Pixel 3 XL Lite Expected To Be Called As Pixel 3a & Pixel 3a XL

From the last few months, we are seeing leaks about the Pixel 3 Lite and Pixel 3 XL Lite smartphones. There are even hands-on videos of these upcoming on the internet revealing the design and specifications. Now, the latest reports suggest the company to launch these devices as Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL. The names of these two devices are mentioned in the code of the camera app came with the latest Android Q Beta 1.

There are even references to the Sargo and Bonito which are expected to be the codenames for Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL. However, we still have no idea about the launch time of these two devices. In terms of design, the Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL look exactly similar to the Pixel 3 with 18:9 displays and two-tone finish on the rear. While the Pixel 3 devices come with dual front cameras, the mid-range Pixel 3a will stick with a single front camera.

Unlike the Pixel 3, the Pixel 3a will be featuring the 3.5mm audio jack. Talking about the other specifications, the Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL will be offering 5.56-inch and 6-inch displays respectively. As said earlier, both these devices come with 18:9 aspect ratio and Full HD+ resolution. While the Pixel 3a packs Snapdragon 670 Mobile Platform, the Pixel 3a XL will come powered by Snapdragon 710 Mobile Platform.

Talking about the cameras, both the devices will come with a 12.2 MP camera on the rear with f/1.8 aperture and an 8MP camera on the front for selfies. On the rear, we can also spot the circular fingerprint scanner. While the devices will be running on Android 9.0 Pie out of the box, they should also support Android Q Beta 1 which was recently released for other Pixel devices. While there is no official confirmation, the company might launch the Google Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a Lite before Google I/O in May. Stay tuned on Phone Radar for more details!
