Gionee has been teasing about the launch of its latest smartphone Gionee S6 Pro. Today the company had officially launched it in China. As seen in the TENAA listing, the device comes with an all-metal body. It runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow based Amigo OS 3.2 laid on top. The device will be available in Gold, Silver, and Rose Gold color options. The device sports a 2.5D 5.5-inch IPS display with Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) resolution.
Under the hood is the Helio P10 octa-core processor clocked at 1.8GHz. The flagship Gionee S8 also came with the same Helio P10 SoC. It has 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to 128GB via MicroSD card slot. Coming to the camera, there is a 13MP rear camera with LED flash and an 8MP front camera. It has dual SIM dual standby support by using the hybrid SIM slot where users can use the MicroSD card instead of second SIM.
The device is backed by a 3,130mAh non-removable battery which the company claims to give 38.6 hours of talk time and lasts upto 558 hours on standby. On the back, we can also find the circular fingerprint sensor that can be used to capture images. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, and a USB Type-C port. The device is priced at 1,999 Yuan and is already available in stock, unlike other Chinese brands.
Last month, the company also launched three new smartphones Gionee S5, F100, and F103B in China. While the F100 and F103B come with entry-level specifications, the Gionee S5 sports metal build body. It has 5.3-inch HD display and is powered by MediaTek MT6750 processor. It is also equipped with fingerprint sensor on the rear. The S5 includes 13MP rear camera, 5MP front camera, and a 2,900mAh battery.
