A couple of months back, Gionee launched the P7 Max smartphone in India with a 5.5-inch display. At that time, the company also announced to launch the Gionee P7 smartphone soon in the market. Now, we got the complete information regarding the device and will be available in the market by the end of this week. It will be priced at Rs. 9,999 and comes in Gold, Gray, and White color options. The design of the P7 looks similar to the P7 Max but comes in a smaller form factor. It has a textured finish on the back that gives a shining glow under the light. The Gionee P7 comes with a plastic back cover with a metal frame around it. As seen with the P7 Max priced at Rs. 13,999; the P7 also lacks impressive specifications when compared to other devices at the similar price. It sports a 5-inch display IPS display with just HD (1280 x 720 pixels) resolution. Most of the recently launched smartphones priced around Rs. 10,000 offers Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) resolution. The device comes powered by 64-bit MediaTek MT6737 quad-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz and coupled with Mali-T720 MP2 GPU. It packs 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage that can be further expandable via provided MicroSD card slot.

The device also offers mediocre experience with its 8MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera. While the rear camera is assisted by LED flash, the front camera comes with screen flash which brightness the display while capturing selfies. It runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box with the highly customized Amigo 3.2 UI laid on top. Gionee also includes several bloatware apps that eat up the very limited storage on the P7 smartphone. It is backed by a 2,300mAh battery that might not give more than a day of battery life. The loudspeaker placed on the back of P7 also supports DTS Audio for better audio output. [Latest Price of Gionee P7-[amazon_link asins=’B01NCK76W2′ template=’PriceLink’ store=’prblog02-21′ marketplace=’IN’ link_id=’e6576a79-de05-11e6-b51e-53ebc4d49800′]]

At this price, the Gionee P7 also lacks the fingerprint. The device offers VoLTE for using the Jio 4G SIM, the users can also get the free Jio SIM which includes unlimited usage of 4G data (FUP @ 1GB/day), voice calls, and SMS for free till March 31st. Connectivity options on this dual SIM device includes 4G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b / g / n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, USB OTG, and MicroUSB 2.0 port. On the other hand, the Gionee P7 Max came with a 5.5-inch HD display and is powered by the MediaTek MT6595 octa-core processor clocked at 2.2GHz.

It includes 3GB of RAM and 32GB of expandable storage. The P7 Max offers 13MP rear camera, 5MP front camera, and a 3,100mAh battery. Just like the P7, the P7 Max also lacks the fingerprint sensor. The P7 Max is already available in the market while the P7 is expected to go sale later this week. Stay tuned on Phone Radar for more details!
